Looks like you're not such a fan of the high phenol content for which Islay is best known. Which is cool, of course, nobody wants the Speyside/Highlands distilleries to go broke. Sometimes a few of the Islay distilleries carry the peat to silly extremes (Ardbog Supernova and Bruichladdich Octomore come to mind) with pissing competitions to see who can produce the most undrinkable malt.I find now of the Islay Whiskies my favourites are
