Well Stillsssssssssssssssss,

Just did a Tabac and it lathered like a cnut, really.

This brush is bloody interesting as it goes a bit floppy and limp when wet but worked really well on the soap.

It actually took less involvement than my old Boar which was my go to brush for soap pucks.

I will keep with it as it is new and maybe I want it to be good, but it was fucking good with the Tabac, I mean fucking good.

Saying that , it becomes floppy immediately it is wet but differently to my other natural badger brushes.

I just had a nice shave and was going to compare the Body Shop one with it as I had it also ready to go but sadly it missed out due to the French Bastard stealing the show.

Ahhhhh Tabac.

Anyway, I am beginning to think that this brush could be ok, but it is only rather new so will wait and see, Hey!
 
Sounds like the tips aren't doing much work on the puck but the synthetic hair shafts might have an edge that ruffles up the soap?
So most importantly, how's the administration?
- i.e., loaded with Tabac goodness, what's the Plisson like on the face? Is it a smooth painting delivery or more a little slap, plop, slap and dribble?

I do worry about the flop. 'Flex' is the thing I've come to appreciate least in a brush.
 
The Plisson Lathered Speik soap like a beauty this morning.

I really like this brush. It has a rather smooth but gentle delivery.
 
Yep, The Fat.
Didn't shave today as I couldn't be F @cked, dunno about tomorrow either as it is my day off.
 
Nice. Well work you're way up to the Fat. Keen to hear how it goes, sounds promising.
 
I always loved the scent of Mitchells Wool Fat. I turned my puck in to shaving sticks. Never had problems lathering it up but then you never do with sticks.

Cracked da Fat with the Plisson, no problems at all.

Ten second load (I counted) and a face lather.

Beautiful stuff is that Mitchell's Wool Fat. Rich creamy and slick. My face feels great after that.

I am very pleased with this brush so far, actually it is becoming my favourite.

I must also say that I have never had any problems with the MW Fat with other brushes either.

Well thanks for that subliminal nudge Stills, I won't go on any more on here but all I can say is this Plisson is a bloody good brush.

If anything turns bad or ugly I will report back, but I really can't see that happening with how things have gone so far.
 
Why, who's intimating that you need to stop the commentary? I, for one, am really enjoying the insights and hearing something positive about something that probably gets little or no air-time over in YKW, et. al.
 
Thought it may be a bit boring is all..... as it has just seemed to work really well with soaps and creams.

It is different but once I opened myself to the possibilities of change :barefoot: another universe opened(y).

Well no, of course not. No brush tragic is going to admit, regardless of validity, that a man made contraption is going to out do or be anywhere near as good as three band high mountain white badger. Why by the way is it high and white? Do badgers grow superior hair when they're high? What does the white refer to, the mountain or the badger? And are they up a mountain? I thought mountains were per definition high so why call it a high mountain? Is it harder and hence more expensive to catch badgers who are holed high up in white mountains? It's baffling.

Anyhow I get the same disparaging ignorance when I mention that I shave with a plastic/bakelite razor. So I'm with you brother. I'm with you.

I have a picture of a badger sitting on the top of a snow-capped mountain smoking weed and having a haircut...
 
Interesting thoughts, the mind pictures are great.

Gotta go and contemplate.

I love when things get like this, beats just having a shave.

Fuck whiskers when philosophy of shaving and the plight of Badgers and Pigs are the subject.
 
I just hit the Cade soap with the Plisson brush.

Again a counted 10 second load with a face lather.

Fucking brilliant!!!

I love this brush now that I am used to it.

It has a certain versatility in that that it can seem to act floppy if you want but it can also act rather stiff depending how it is used. It can splay easily and act like a suction plunger

but can also be like a stiff back-boned thing.

It is officially my favourite and I don't think I can go back.
