Hi all,
Nice Sunday afternoon shave today with the Yaqi Ghost 90 this is one of those duel comb DE's that gives you both a OC and SB in one.
It's an efficient smooth razor for me as long as I have not gone to long between shaves which sometimes happens with my working life.
The Voskhod was not the best blade choice something like a wizamet/narcet or feather works better in this razor in my opinion.
Still a descent 2 pass shave with a few touch-ups.

The Areffa soap is top notch made by a small but growing soap artisan from Ukraine the scent is bright and uplifting filled my small bathroom Lovely.
This was sent to my by one of our fellow members many thanks to him.

The splash is a well know budget bay rum I like it but the wife hate's it (you can't have every thing can you.)
I'm on my way down the bay rum rabbit hole a big fan.

1 pass WTG 1 pass ATG with a few touch-ups done. ( I rarely do a XTG pass for me if I can't get a BBS with 2 passes and maybe a few touch-ups I will move the razor on).
No nicks No worries.
Have a great next shave.
Cheers.

This has been my setup for the past two months. I decided to start with my oldest soap and use it until it was finished, but after two months I’ve barely made a dent — so it’s time to move on. Variety really is the spice of life.

I also worked through a couple of AC blade samples from @Gargravarr, starting with the guarded blade (I think it was a Feather Pro Guard). To be honest, I may have installed it back to front, because it felt like riding the burr on a straight — sharp in a nasty way. I flipped the blade over and it improved for a few shaves, but it started tugging fairly quickly.

By comparison, the Kai Pink was a bit too sharp to pair with the Hawk initially, and I sacrificed a bit of skin on the upper lip and chin. After a couple of weeks it mellowed nicely and delivered many more enjoyable shaves before finally dulling.

If it was a guarded blade, it didn't come from me :D I've never had them. I reckon the trainer wheels are for shavettes. The PINK works quite well in the Vector, but gave me a rough time in the WR4. Curious how some razors/blades are fussy like that...
