Freyja finally arrived !!!
Nordy bastard

While thrifting, earlier today, I snagged this lot of cartridges (27 Trac II + 5 Atra) for 6 loonies. I am not going back to cartridges but that's a lot of shaves for the money heheh

Note: I happened to have a Trac II handle in my stash.

My Dad was an early adopter of the Trac when it first came out. He never did get over his cartridges, but when I first started shaving, It didn't take me long to defect to his old Gillette. As cartridges go, I don't think Gillette ever improved on the Trac II.

I finally assembled and mounted the shaving cabinet my wife bought, and I gathered my shaving gear from all the nooks and crannies they were previously hastily stuffed into.

NICE! [start ... ;) ]

My wife suggested that I need two more brushes to balance the brush/razor ratio

Keeper!

Of course, if you accidentally buy three, you will need another razor (some good buys here) - but to keep shipping costs down it might be more efficient to buy two.

Then you need another brush, or maybe the soap/splash ratio is not right ...

You're welcome

Just buy another cabinet now and get it over and done with 🤔 simple, happy to help

Shopping for homegoods on Aliexpress, got caught out during their thrice annual 'anniversary' sale. Picked up a few things.

Yaqi Pilot. Long story short, does not shave at all like the Merkur 34C. Way more blade feel and aggression (efficiency). Some may like that if they felt the regular 34C is too mild. I'm of two minds. While I liked the fact that it is its own razor and not a 34C copy, my search for a stainless 34C continues (probably will eventually pull the trigger on the INOX 34C, but that's double the price of this one). I also picked up the Thot. For the more aggressive razor, it actually felt it had less blade feel than the Pilot.

And also some Yaqi soaps. I wasn't super impressed with the last ones, and this bunch didn't exactly change my mind. Scents maybe dupes, but they feel so generic, it feels as though all the soaps smell the same. Very one note. Performance is good, as expected from Master Soap Creations. It is very thirsty. Be prepared to keep adding more and more water until you get it as slick as you want it. The sale price with coupons and coins set me back only $13 per soap (but I'd never pay the full $40 for one).
