Ingredients

Dark Ale: Organic Palm Shortening (From a Sustainable Source in South America), Coconut Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Dark Ale, Castor Oil, Kaolin Clay, Water, Lye (Saponified).

Thanks @SpeedyPC I knew I had seen an ingredients list somewhere (but couldn't find it again).
The Aermeda soap ingredients...
INGREDIENTS: Soybean, Kokum butter, Coconut oil, Cocoa butter, Castor oil, Goats milk, Otago rain water, Jojoba oil, Potassium hydroxide, Sodium hydroxide, Essential oils of Rosemary, Lavender, Ylang Ylang with Tussah silk.

Both soaps arrived.
Will test the Aermeda first (tomorrow). Rosemary, Lavender, Ylang Ylang...scent is really nice...even the missus likes it.
The 'Dark Ale' soap looks OK, but has little scent.
The shaving test in 2 days time will decide if it's any good though. As long as it does the business as a shaving soap, the scent may improve or not...and that won't matter to me.

If both shaving soaps failed, use them in the shower to keep your bum clean.

Funnily enough...today I was in hospital having a colonoscopy.
The worst part was drinking the 3 litres of godawful tasting liquid that cleans you out!
2 litres last night, and the last litre at 4.45am this morning before heading to the hospital for 9am start of proceedings.
Yeah, I'm good for another 78 years...and certainly will keep my bum clean.

Update...used the Aermeda 'Rosemary, Lavender, Ylang Ylang' soap this morning.
Loaded direct from tin with my AP Shave Co 30mm fan brush. It's a soft brush, but had no trouble loading the soap.
Wet my face and proceeded to face lather with no problems. Lather built well and was looking good.
First pass with the Lupo 72, and re-lathered (without needing a top-up from the tin). Then attacked my face with the heavy bulldozer (Pearl Flexi set on '6').
Yep, no worries...lots of slide and glide. Nice scent.
I usually only do a 2 pass shave, but the brush looked so inviting (all foamy still) so as a first ever for me I did another pass and plenty of foam left to lather up again.
This is a nice soap.
I had a smooth, irritation free shave (and I smelt good too).
Yes, I liked the soap. It works and works well.

Update...on the Dark Ale soap...
first use this morning. It lathered fine but looked a tad whispy. Has pretty much no scent.
Lathered up my face, and yes...it was a skinny lather.
As I shaved my left side the lather on the right side had sort of 'gone'. A glitch in the matrix? A time warp?
Added more soap to the brush, whipped up a storm of foam...and same result.
But even though the foam had gone away somewhere the shave was OK. The disappearing foam had left a light layer of 'something' on the skin.
So the shave didn't feel like a dry shave, or a shave with just water only (been there, done that).
But it's an easy 'don't bother on this one' from me. Only $NZ10 so I wasn't expecting miracles.
I got what I paid for...a $10 soap.
It will be fine as a body soap (or a bum as @SpeedyPC said before).

I already knew the ingredients, turns out to be a bum cleaning soap.... So I just let you tested yourself, before, you might believe it's a bum cleaning soap.

Same here, my turn to lose my virginity is at 7am tomorrow morning. It's a good way to find out just how scratchy your loo paper is... :meh:

Talked to my neighbour this morning. He has had 2 colonoscopys.
The last time the doctor told him that 'we will have a good sniff around'!
Must be some kind of Doctor joke.
I did think it was funny.

Yes the Medical Fraternity have some “dry wit humour” I’ve had a couple of dual Endo/Colo’s on being put under for the 1st, I was informed “the Surgeon likes you as he’s only using the 1tube he’s going to do the Endo first”
