2026 Shaving Acquisitions Thread

Speed running through the Yaqi/MSC catalogue until the partnership ends (Yaqi released their first cheap glycerine soap for $8, seems like the beginning of the end). Picked this up for AUD25 shipped after coupons and coins, which pretty much makes it the cheapest artisan soap available. Homage to Hugo Reversed which is grapefruit and bergamot. probably my fav scent from Yaqi to date.

Mate, I believe I may of got the 1st Curly Jarrah brush from Troy and I hold it with such, (not sure what the words should be) that I’ve left it in my Will for my Son. Enjoy it mate they are an object of beauty

I'd been thinking about what to do to prevent spotting and rust on my growing collection of straights. A lot of them I won't be using for a while, and I'm not a fan of the greasy but tacky feeling of mineral oil. Thought I might give this a try. There's also Ballistol, if I can get around to visiting my local Sydney Tools. I figure 200ml will probably last forever.

I thoroughly recommend Renaissance wax - have used it for years in many applications.
