Italian morning.
Reestablished my love of Proraso green and menthol in general. The Nonno Michelino balm fits nicely with a few dabs of bay rum.
Now nicked what's your hone, paste, strope routine?

I hone mine with shapton stones, now at men's biz. I have a full progression, but your right about barbers hones if you get one you won't need the full progression unless your re setting the bevel.
Or what progression of Shaptons do you recommend?
My attraction to the barbers hone is that I travel and don't have a place for a huge collection of stones, so if one small one did the trick if be stoked
Ybbor you must have quite the bench top collection!!
What about the Naniwa Super stones? (Note the NEW updated version as well.)That depends on what your doing. I got carried away when I got mine.
320
500
1000
2000
4000
6000
8000
? Forgotten which
16000
30000
From memory. Don't do that!!!
If your buying new razor:
1000
4000
8000
16000
That's it. Lower than 1000 is great for old razors that need to be put straight
30000 is supposed to be amazing, I do use it but it might be to sharp for me.
Adding the in betweens means you can go up the progression more easily. Which means a quicker hone job. But with patients you can do the same thing in bigger jumps.

I hear that the Japanese water stones (Naniwa, Suehiro) are quite popular.
