Restored this old Sheffield some time ago. It was dirty, grubby and the scales were a mess. It had seen better days for sure. I spent some time with the wet n dry progression here to try bring out the best in the old steel. After lotsa sanding came the buffing compounds (Caswell - black, blue, red) and finally the polishing with Maas. Gave the blade faces a satin treatment. I didn't bother messing with the scales. Replaced them with others I had laying about. This is one of my better shavers. Thanks for looking, Mick.
