Blackbird (Phase 3).

Have ended up with 2 SB baseplates, and 2 OC baseplates for the Blackbird.
So...time for a polish up.
Did one of each, but not too far as didn't want to upset the geometry of the head.
However they came out not too bad at all, and the BB looks quite nice with black oxide cap/handle and nice shiny baseplate.
Had a few shaves now with the polished SB and it does 'feel' nicer on the face.
The photo does show up the machining marks on the black oxide cap so yeah/maybe a polish needed there too plus the handle one day, but this is fine for now.

You ended up with some Minora blades.
Do the blackbirds have a serial number?

Yes, Minora blades arrived yesterday from Amazon.
Only 4 days USA to NZ, then 2 more days to get to me.
First Minora shave will be tomorrow as had a Wizamet in the razor already for this morning's shave.
No serial numbers on the Blackbird, so no worries there.
I only polished the top surface to get a nice shine. Didn't try to get any machining marks out as that might have upset the shave geometry.
Looks better to my eyes than in the photos. Quite happy with it.
