In each I have one Cortec® VpCI-101 Emitter and two Indicating Silica Gel Packets (OPP) 50gm, the latter is specified to protect "38.5L of enclosed space" and I have two in each 15L container.
Happy to hear other suggestions
Would the cortec be of much use?
Given the vapour it emits won't attach to the blade surface due multiple layers of packaging around the blades.
I keep my 5800 blades in a 35L container with a big bag of desiccant beads, which can be reused by drying them in the microwave every few months.

There are a number of blades on those dispensers with exposed metal - they are what I have in mind when including these emitters
I got the indicator ones to see how they go. If regularly needing to be replaced I may go with a bag that can be dried and reused BUT - then you have to remember to do it!
I hadn't heard of the Cortec thingies before, but as a belt-and-braces approach, I'm sure they can't hurt. I've had ordinary silica-gel sachets in a toolbox full of carbon steel carpentry tools for the last 20 years, and they (the tools) are still fine, but there again I can always refinish and sharpen those if I need to.
I find the indicator beads useful in smaller tool cases (eg micrometers and suchlike) because they get opened often.

Aah yes, i forgot about these vintage dispensers.
I don't dry out the beads too often.
I would expect the excess moisture to be soaked up and the container lid to keep out too much moisture from entering the tub.
That's why i don't stress too much about it. I feel we are already doing more than enough, given the blades are already stainless steel with multiple coatings sputtered on to the cutting edges.

I'm far ahead of all you blokes. My method is more scientific. I keep mine in a a wooden drawer and leave them to battle the humidity and moisture by themselves. It helps each blade find it's inner strength while striving for longevity with a desire to be used someday in the tedious process of mowing down a stubble. Each of my blades is like the Karate Kid.
