Dodgy Rapira Platinum Lux blades

Have heard and read about the Rapira and couple of other Russian blades having common defects like long to short bevelled edges and even one side of the blade edge not even bevelled but shavable.
So was having this shave tonight with a Gillette New Long comb and going this is great, efficient and quite mild with this blade. Then I flip the razor and feel the blade like a above medium razor and was very confused.
Checked, spun the top plate, again one sided aggressive, checked flipped the baseplate and reseated again and again, still one sided aggressive. Grabbed another blade (shark) from a drying razor and presto beautiful smooth shave.
Got the Rapira blade and placed it in another DE that I know well and tested it. Again one side short and the other long.
This is really strange as the blades are punched out of sheet metal then held in place by the holes and sharpened. Clearly bad quality control and thinking twice about them.
Haven't tried any others out of the batch as a sampler and currently trying lots of differing blades.
Anyone else experience this type of issue or one off?
