First shave with Edwin Jagger e89

Chad

... had his first - 15/8/20
WOW After learning to de shave with my Parker 99r I rekon I could shave blind, upside down with no mirror the EJ is that smoothe. I was tossing up between these two razors when beginning and chose the Parker as its heavier, longer handle, tto and a bigger blade gap. I wrongly assumed I had a pretty tough stubble.

Now I've figured out I don't really. .I just have a lot of stubble. I've tried the sharper Astra and Feather in the Parker and it wasn't great. But I could easily see those blades working in the EJ and reacting differently. I used my usual soap and Lord blade for direct comparison.

I still think the Parker gives a closer shave but I can see why the EJ is recommended as a great beginner razor. It's very user friendly. I've got large hands and thought the shorter handle would be a set back. But it sits nicely still.

Rekon it will dramatically cut down shave times from the Parker when I use it.
