The most interesting threads often are the ones that got hijacked. A prime example is the infamous "Octobarns" thread, on Mike Portnoy's (drummer extraordinaire) forum.

I haven't come across that thread, and I had to look it up. Got lots of results for octagonal barns until I realised you must be talking about Octobans

Yeah, had me going for a second... but really that shouldn't be done even in jest, 'cause enough mishaps have enabled the vision of lather, flesh and blood spatter......not 'cause I've actually done the splatter but at least know how easily it could happen.
