I had the same problem with some photos I posted from Imgur recently. Did you upload them as private to there? That was the issue I had
 
nope. I tried to be smart and copy the links from a pm to the post. Looks like site security prevented it. Applying flicker now.

it was a good learning experience. Next time, I should be more discerning where I get my raw materials. Pity none of the blond or grey handles worked.
