New MdC soaps

Anyone here contemplating pulling, or aleady pulled, the trigger on either of these new soaps?

I must admit, that after reading about Absinthe, I am sorely tempted. Magellan, less so.

I was somewhat tempted to go for the Absinthe, but decided to leave it for now, since I have other soaps that deserve attention. I plan on a soap-buying hiatus next year, but 2026 may well see me take the plunge. Who knows, I might be close to the bottom of my MdC Rose by then...

Not so tempted by the Magellan though, but I'm probably being unreasonable, as their scents tend to be very well balanced.

I'm in the same boat. I was intrigued, however, by the slight change in ingredients for these releases, perhaps a harbinger of a new base for the range, and what it means for the soaps. A reliable member on B&B said this about the change (my emphasis):

I was wondering if I could detect any change with the addition of the palmitic acid. The 1-shave answer is no, except it might be a little slicker.

The current MdC base is one of the slickest I use, so if this was the case it would be quite an achievement! :)
