yes, well above my pay grade somehow!
I picked up some Gillette Thins and Dorco's in Hanoi, I paid $1.75 (35K dong) for about 50 blades. They had a Weishi TTO for $3 so I grabbed that too.
I don't know why I was surprised, but I had a couple of really good shaves with the Weishi and a PermaSharp. It's a little flimsy and cheap looking, but it's light and holds the blade steady. Really mild too, so I expect it would be good for a beginner.
The price of blades here kind of puts things in perspective. 50 blades for the price of a Heineken stubby here, or half a coffee back home. Blokes in Australia paying $3-4 for a Mach 3 cartridge seems crazy in comparison.
