Simpsons Chubby 2

Wondering where I can get the best price on a Chubby 2 shipped to Australia.

Any pointers on the most economical option ?

I could get the one I have now re-knotted - mines a shedder - I can send it to Simpsons it will cost me around $115 with shipping to have that done - plus the waiting - or just get a new one and pay the extra and be done with it - I think I have spent enough on this brush already.

Have you talked to Simpson about this? They may replace it.

Contact simpsons for warranty. A lot cheaper than sending for a redo or buying another. Unfortunately, their high end brushes are known for this problem.

If I had bought it new I would contact Simpsons about it - I purchased it second hand so I have no recourse with them

Advantage of sending it for a reknot, is you're able to specify the type of knot and have it set higher/lower than before according to your preferences.

Still worth a try with Simpsons on warranty. Don't say you're not the original owner, just that you don't have a receipt. They should do the right thing.

+1 I agree with @Psmith it the cheapest price available any around the world

Agreed, that is a good price.

Further, given what I just paid for an LE brush direct from Simpson you can expect prices to go up in 2017 by about 10% (apparently on account of Brexit and an increase in cost of raw materials).

Is it possible to buy a brush without a handle from Shavemac et al,and thence put new head onto your handle.

Certainly permitted - should be able for a while after posting - but I've changed anyway :)
