I've owned two horse hair brushes and none of them smelt like horse. I still didn't enjoy them though and gave them up very quickly. Even though they dd the job, I just couldn't get the thought of it being horse out of my head.

You're right, the idea of riding a large animal that can send me flying if it wants to just doesn't appeal to me.
Depends on how fat and how heavy you are
, too heavy an animal can throw you in the air high enough.
