What can you tell me about these blades?

Gillette Reds, Russian made like blues.
Do a search on them and alot of other forums mentioned them compared to blues, blacks, polsilvers etc

I took the easy way out and bought 100 x Gillette Greens (Made in Russia), 100 x Gillette Rubie Plus, and 50 x Gillette Nacets.
Should keep me going for a while.
 
Nacets are the pick of the bunch imho
 
Yes Ferret, You may well be right.
I used Nacets some time ago and they did shave well.
May just go back and get another 50 (and it's all your fault).

Don't worry @Blackie. He did that to me too. I think of @Ferret619 every time I reach for a fresh pack of Nacets. :LOL:

Might I also suggest Gillette Silver Blues? They are now my default blade. I like them about as much as the Nacets. But, they are a little stiffer. Just depends how I'm feeling on the day.

I've noticed that anyone who likes GSBs also likes Nacets, and vice versa.

Them and feathers have been my main blade for years now, but I'm getting adventurous in my old age.
Did not get on well with Voshkods (which some folk rave about)...blunt, nasty things shaped like a razor blade.
Hey, my fist shave today with the new Mamba (Gillette Black blade just because it was the first one I grabbed out of my stash) , new Yaqi Tuxedo, and new Figgy Puddin'.
Great shave, and Missus liked the smell of the Figgy Puddin' too.
All 'happy as' over here.

I found the Gillette blacks much smoother than the reds but nearly the same in cutting efficiency.

GSB are even smoother than the blacks but less cutting efficiency. The reds I found to be more efficient than GSB.

Smoothness = GSB> blacks> nacet > reds

Efficiency = blacks > reds > GSB = nacet

I could have included more Gillette blades in the comparison but stuck with the most talked about. An honorable mention goes to the Indian greens (permasharp)...very balanced in smoothness and efficiency. Nothing mind blowing but definitely a very nice blade that gets the job done all!

For a reference point, I use Polsilver as my daily blade. I also like the blacks, GSB, Indian greens

I hear ya. Those things tore me up like nobody's business. :hungover:
