What to look for when buying Gillette Vintage Razors for use or collection

Although I have four modern day razors I use, I'm also a big fan and primary user of numerous vintage Gillette's. If you have the bug to try a vintage IMV the Super Speed (either a 40's or 50's style) are generally cheap and plentiful and a good beginner razor. It's a TTO so it's kinda neat (and easy to use). I started with one and I still use several today. They give a mild but a very good DFS near BBS shave (YMMV) and will not break the bank. Just look for a good user grade, but sometimes you can get lucky and pick up a very nice slightly used one in the 20-40 dollar range. If you don't want a TTO there are plenty of Tech's out there, the older the better. Again similar pricing as the S.S. Vintage is not for everybody but I just enjoy living in the past a few minutes each day.
