You should try disassembly yourself if you are still inclined, only thing that is abit of a pain is setting the blade gap but even that isn't too hard

I did watch a couple videos, but I lack the skills, tools and desire to try.

I think the big thing is the type of end cap it has, I've done 6 Or 7 adjustables and it's really quite doable with simple tools, that said yours is in good shape so I wouldn't worry
