We need more traffic PJ, it's just you, me, some blokes who saw the banner on the canning bridge and the chirping of crickets.

I've been dropping hints and links on other sites like Craig from Rugs a million, but no ones biting. Whirpools single thread is quiet as, and Overclockers has completely run out of juice.

A few BBers have registered, but that's it. You could crank out some SE articles between you and veteran, which can get picked up on google, and put the word out to SE'rs on BB?

I've a soap wrap to put up.

It's just been pjotr, veteran, spyne, jugv2 and me posting for the last week or more.

That said GSL and B&B is as quiet as a dodo too.
edit: meant WP not B&B, as GSL is on B&B and I don't even read the B&B forums anymore, just check up on GSL only

I've been monitoring the Aus sites to drag some people over, as those threads have dropped off. There surely must have been some who were interested in a full on forum. It appears not.

GSL is very quiet too.

As I said, I've a write up coming which may generate some chat, but I'd encourage any of you to write up some stuff about whatever you're into.

And when monsta gets round to opening a buy sell section, that will also bring new members in.

Surely it can't be too hard to get a buy sell forum and a vendor forum happening. Just copy the rules from somewhere else and amend them as you go along. A logo would look good too. I can do a write up on Tabac. As if that hasn't been done before. Great stuff by the way. Love the smell. I think people don't like it because it's actually got a smell. Anyhow I digress. I know, I'll start a thread on favorite chocolate bars. It'll give Drubbing a chance to come out of the closet and admit a complete dependency on white chocolate.

I agree, I think the buy sell should get up soon, monstas been AWOL, but has moved recently. People wanting to buy sell would prefer to check local first, I would think. Sure, the yanks have everything, in every colour, but it's PITA dealing with such places sometimes, stuff disappears on BB as soon as it's up. Plus al the whining about 'oh, you're not in the US, then you'll have to cough up postage' or they can't be arsed to fill in a customs form. I got a birth razor at the beginning, then got out of that malarkey, don't even like the damn thing, wouldn't take the hair off a manx cat - Gillettes and the damn overhype factory.

I may have some other free stuff for you soon, and I'll grab an SE off you. A good one, no rusty shit. I'm picky.

Sounds exciting. I think the Feather Weight would be a good starter. I'll give it a clean.
 
OK maybe that was a bad choice of words. I'll prepare it for external assignment. Blow it's nose, put some clean socks on it. That sort of thing.

I'm tempted to bump each thread ad nauseum until I get the highest post count of all members. A record I could hold for a brief period. It's doable!

I've got a couple mates that are into straight edge shaving - are they called cut throats?

Anyway they have tried to join our merry band but as they use Yahoo email addresses they got bounced.
 
Well I'm still around, I just end up lurking instead of posting.

But I broke the top of my MWF soap dish the other day. =( Not happy.

Not to fear though - my Dad is turning me a new soap bowl/lid. Has been looking very nice in the making.

True. I think that's difficult to counter, BB is huge and noobs can get masses of info and opinions in the one place. Potentially a good place to buy cheap, but you need to be quick and it's very US-centric, few people can be bothered to sell os.

I'm over it after a good while though. Too many annoying people, like any huge forum (regardless of topic) there's rampant fanboyism, and the vendor favouritism is right on the nose.

If people like the company here, then all we can do is stick with it and try and grow it. Write ups and reviews will help kick up the google hit rate.
