A delightfully simple DFS with the Karve + Astra. Added a tad too much water but still managed to get some slick, luscious face lather and man does this soap smell nice :love: Finished off with some refreshing balm... Happy shaves!

Still going strong with the Windsor soap. Today I tried something slightly different, only painting the brush to build a lather on my face. Not something that is hugely different of course, but still made slick lathery goodness!

The 6S was paired with the 2 plate and the 4th use of a Gillette platinum. I find this plate one of the best for buffing.
 

  1. Preshave: Mama Bear's Eucalyptus glycerin shave soap
  2. Razor: eBay nondescript straight
  3. Soap: Simpsons cream - peppermint and rosemary
  4. Brush: Simpsons Chubby 2 Super Badger
  5. Postshave: Jojoba oil
  6. Earworm: The Ride - Joan As Policewoman
Very enjoyable first outing with the Chubby. However, I must admit to being slightly in a rush, which is why I picked a cream over a soap. I'm looking forward to giving the brush a whirl with some APR. Decent enough lather (lather shot) with plenty left for two passes.
 
terrible shave of the day today.. i thought i was on plate 5 but was on plate six with a 3rd use feather that has copped a beating this week.. put it this way i remember what razor burn is again lol thank goodness for the witch hazel

First try of a bay rum scent. I can see this growing on me. The splash is a pretty strong scent. I picked it up cheap at a shaver shop store.

The scent of the soap is amazing though, would dig it in a splash. The performance is amazing. It lathered up so fast
