G' day from NZ

Hello and welcome. Checked out your website and they really are nice looking razors. Unfortunately I've got too many of the bloody things as it is.

Welcome!

Just had a squiz, the black DE looks fkn awesome! Would love to try, how aggressive are they comapred to a Merkur 34C, do you know? 'Cause I usually pair that up with a Feather blade...

I have never tried a Merkur 34C so I can't say. Though the Goodfella is getting a reputation for being non aggressive. I've tried Feather blades and didn't find any difference to the Derby so at less than half the price I recommend Derby with the Goodfella.

Do you prefer aggressive razors I ask because I'm considering making a batch.

I'm not sure how aggressive I like it to be honest (in b4 'that's what she said' :weird:)

Of the three razors I have listed in sig, the 34C is the most aggressive. The black-tip is super mild, and the adjustable as far as I'm concerned, is useless on anything less than a 6 (from 1 to 9).

I'm quite curious to try one of yours out and see how it compares (they look freaking awesome IMO) - what's postage worth on one of these across the ditch to Brisbane, QLD, 4000?

Yes, I much prefer a more aggressive razor than a Tech or even a 50's Superspeed. My favourite shave is a NOS Gillette Bleue Extra (I have 4,000 of em) in a Slim set to about 7 - this is a good combo. However, they really sing in a Redtip Superspeed.

My main axes are a Fatboy, Slim, 20's NEW, and a DE86. I have plenty of others - a couple of techs, Redtip, plus a whole heap of collector-grades including back-to-back quarter TV Superspeeds and Back-to-back year Milords.

That said, I have not tried a Goodfella at all.... maybe we can source one for a Paste & Cut travelling box? Or even a demo heavier/aggressive sampler?
