MSC is a firm soap and is one of his newer recipes with Tallow 1st (instead of last in earlier recipes), it easily generated a rich creamy high density lather. Lather gave awesome slickness and great residual, with a great after shave feel, this is an excellent soap. To my nose the scent smells just like Hugo Boss Bottled, probably my favourite Hugo fragrance, warm, spicy & woody, scent strength 5/10. The “Standard Razors” razor + Treet Classic gave a wonderful easy going DFS.

Slowing digging out my razors and putting them through their paces. Some haven't had a run in a couple of years. The Kickuth is the old mellow sounding steel when shaving.
I said to Mrs Pbgoose this morning, 'which brush should I use'? She said the good looking one - something to that effect - anyway, she meant the 'Platypus'. Couldn't argue.

Anytime someone puts "smoking" and "loin" in the same sentence, I get a little uncomfortable, as it sounds very painful!

The MSC "The Chieftain" soap was not mentholated, I believe there is a lot more non-mentholated scents now.
