I bought myself a 34C when I returned to DE shaving (when I started shaving my head) in 2004, after a long spell using straights. I can easily use any safety razor without a mirror, or even in the dark, but shaving my head with a straight is a performance, and not worth the trouble....a lot of wet shavers have experience and owned the Merkur 34C or 34G in their own den, it's a love and hate two piece razors, as YMMV some wet shavers find it, it's just right, and some find it's too mild as we all have different experience.

What are your thoughts about the Amakuni? (Maybe, compared to La Faulx?) I imagine we'll hear about it from @Errol at some point, but other points of view are always welcome...
