I consider that to be more than acceptable, it's an investment in your joie de vivre and de bon aire. Well scored. Your hide will thank you for it. (y) I'm exercising some semblance of restraint and discipline partly out of an utterly foolhardy notion of completing the last few weeks of this sabbatical (somebody whack me if I make such a commitment again :rolleyes:), but mainly because I think it's high time I let go of my obsession with Yardley.

Though I do still have "enough" (ahahahahah) to keep me going for a couple of years if I'm less profligate then hitherto...

But at least you introduce some worthy perspective: my folly pales in comparison to spending quantities of currency on decorations that are useful for just one day of the year.

They're all worth having. Unfortunately, the scent of the Green Label, being lavender-based, is the one most likely to dissipate. It's always a gamble to see there's any scent left. The performance, however, is always superb. Yardley Black Label and the woodsy one at the bottom of this picture (👇) still have all of their glorious scent. I think the plastic tub is probably better for preserving the soap.

The stick is Green Label, and is also perfectly preserved.
 
The investment in joie de vivre and de bon aire worked out better than anticipated:
