There's that, and plenty more like that in other shaving forums... But it's the gall to suggest HIS products and shaving method are the advance of shaving! They're the next evolution after Traditional WS and are meant to be where you evolve to! Absolute #%*^!
 
Ahh, Charles. How could I forget him? He's unique. Well not really he got most of his schtick from watching infomercial TV. the rest he made up.

Ah 2014 Youtube - any jerk can sit in front of his phone and spout crap hoping that other will piss away their lives listening, that it goes viral and they become a hashtag!

Whatever happened to the good old days of Youtube with funny cat videos and drunk folks falling over.
 
I found the video technically inaccurate. However it has some value for someone wondering what this wet shaving is about. He forgot the 4th division. Cart and foam uses....

It is American centric and for an American audience, but hey most of his watches will be American :)

Personally I went from shavett to straight because learning to hone and strop is a barstard. I am still wondering how good my honing is... Should it be better or should my technique for shaving be better. For shavette just put the blade in.

But really, is the shavette (or disposable blade straight razor) the peak of shaving?!?! They are sharp and functionally convenient but not much more. They are too sharp and so unforgiving compared to DEs. They still waste resources (compared to straights).

I think they are a useful category but not the bees knees in the shaving world. You could argue legitimately that it'd be a fight between the DE/safety razor and the straight razor (and perhaps the SE razors too- ok?) for the best title. But it's not really the point. It's not a competition but a pleasure. You're not trying for the prize but the result.

The guy is a shuckster (to use American jargon).

There is now more data uploaded to YouTube every minute than existed on the entire internet when YouTube first started in 2005ish.

@ Filo... Thinking more I don't think there is a peak of shaving lol.
I love using the straight, however I still have many more days using a DE.

The shavette I only use for edges when growing face hair or for side burns. I no longer bother doing a full shave with a shavett. It was however useful in learning mussel memory for straight razors shaving.

Anyway I think all of our P&C Members have the skills where that video is of no use... But for a cart user it would be better than nothing... Or God forbid an electric user.

Tricky one hey. Before going DE I was getting into the new phil shave electric with soap and brush. Managed an irritation free shave, but it wasn't all that close. Few weeks ago was travelling and used a cart again..... Mach 3 terrible!!!!!!
