I have had a few but settled on three:

Feather asd2
Gillette knick knack (I believe)
Feather artist club dx

I keep toying around with the idea of a gillette new open comb specifically a Gillette big boy would be hard to pass up if I got the chance at a reasonable price.

There's a reasonable choice on ebay. Next question is what quarter of the year.You are a N dated razor for year and depending upon the month, a1 for jan feb mar, 2 for apr may jun, 3 for jul aug sep or 4 for oct nov dec.
You are lucky, you are not too young nor old, so have a reasonable amount of choices.Thr young one's like me have only a few options and the one's born before Noah was even a thought have no adjustables.

Not too difficult @Nick the Knife, when my father handed those to me he did say they were from great great great times a shitload grand daddies Thutmose and Hatshepsut. I use the one on the left to chop carrots and have polished up the one on the right to use as a shaving mirror.

Difficult, but not impossible.
You are after a Gillette date code of C (which could be 1957 as well as 1983).
The two quality (cf Drubs' Indian razor) Gillette razors you seek:
1) Black handled Super Speed
2) Super Adjustable (a.k.a Black Beauty) that has a plastic baseplate and diamond-hatched handle
Add a search to eBay that emails you with updates. Or post a WTB on a US-based shaving forum- they love to help people find Birth razors. [emoji6]

Your Super Adjustable will have a plastic base plate, so if it doesn't, it simply is NOT your birth year and the seller is clueless/lying.

I've a birth Super Adjustable and would consider a user grade to modify at the right price/condition (waves hi to @Mark1966 ).
