Anyone able to help me ID these beauties?

By my reading of mr-razor they are both, oddly, Milady Decolletees. Well the handles are at least. I realise that in the intervening 80-odd years since they were born the heads may have been swapped.

Last night I had my first shave with the longer handled one and it was very good. I think it's bumped my Bar Handle New (same head) from daily driver duties.

Yep, both New Long Combs, but as to the sub type, I couldn't tell you.

Lots of people on here love the New LC. Paired with a modern handle, like a bulldog, it's a nice combo. @filobiblic has been using that combo a lot lately.

The one upon the left is not the original handle by appearances.
The original probably suffered from splits and is the reason for the substitute.

The handle on the one of the left is from a Milady Decollette -

But with a mismatched head.

The head style is shown in this one -

Which has the handle of the one of the right is and us usually know as a 'Service Set' as they were issued around WWII.

Not sure if I've seen that handle on the head it is on ...

Both kinda frankenrazors to me BUT they did seem to mix and match a little on the second handle

That's my fault. I switched the handles because then they both would 'fit'. Now that I know, I've switched them back, but now only one fits. The Milady handle doesn't screw down properly on that head.

Probably why they ended up as is! Don't sweat one or the other

Well as curator and director of the National Gillette Museum I'd expect @Mark1966 to be able to identify any Gillette razor by smell alone.

Seems you and he should exchange avatars mate.
Beat me to it mate :)
And only National ?
I was under the impressions it was International, with Gillette Executives arranging junkets to Australia under the premise of research gathering.

Yeah I'm afraid Achim - a.k.a. Mr. Razor - runs the International Gillette Museum out of Germany.

Ahh, so one controls the northern and the other southern hemisphere's Gillette Museums ?

So I gave the Service Set a run in its proper form last night. It's good but not great. Both the head and the handle are on the lighter side leaving the whole thing too dainty. Not Alu-Tech dainty but still...

Interestingly, although they are both brass the Service Set head is 26 g and the mismatched head is 29 g. That extra 10% of mass makes a significant difference on the face. Accordingly, I think I'll re-Franken the razors for tonight's shave. The Service Set handle with mismatched head was very nice.
