How to send PM to another member

Newb needs help here please - how do I PM another member of the forum? Is it some version of "Start a conversation"?

It's not often that I can help in matters IT related. Click on Inbox then on Start a Conversation, enter the participants and the title and away you go.

I so wished I could bring myself to post one of those angry faces. No, the program/site was playing up which it seems to have been doing a fair bit the last day or so.
