Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Soap
Razor: iKon DLC Slant
Blade: PolSIlver SI (2)
Brush: Epsilon 27mm Horse
Lather: RazoRock King Louis Lavender
Post-shave: Alum, Thayers, Shaver Heaven Arctic Mango Balm

This razor gets better and better. Took me a while to get the hang of the size and weight, but now it's incredibly efficient with zero irritation for my workshop, foppish, sensitive skin.
The brush needs breaking in, it's still a little scratchy, but is super value, creates a ton of lather and has amazing backbone. Everyone should have one of these.
Today was one of those effortless BBS shaves.

Razor: Weber Polished Head on Bulldog Handle
Blade: Vintage NOS French Gillette Super Stainless (1)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson AS2
Soap/Cream: Shaving Yeti - Yeti Snot
Aftershave: Mennen - Skin Bracer

I tried the Yeti Snot again today - still as menthol cooling to me since my final scoring in the Mini Menth Showdown @Dale.Whiley !

Today's story though is the blade. I had a white plastic holder for these that I had to break to remove the blades. That was some time ago but it MIGHT have looked like one of these -

I didn't have the card - just the container. The blades are made in France.

On first shave, not always a reliable guide, these things are superb! Smooth and sharp, so nice.

Seriously people, why cannot ALL blades be made like the 'good old days'?

Three pass shave to a BBS with no irritation or nicks or cuts. First use of the med prep blade and they are excellent blades. Sharp and smooth they did an easy job of removing my two day growth. Straight into my top five. The Simpson Duke 3 in Best badger is a simply beautiful brush. It is a densely packed brush with the softest of tips but great backbone. It sucked up the lather off the puck but just as easily released the lather onto my face. I guess brushes aint brushes. I don't know if I should thank @Lifes a Peach or curse him. Thanks (y)

A nice quick shave with my 1912 Gem. 1.5 passes. Easy DFS
A new soap I made for myself as I'm not getting along with Tallow for some medical reason.
My doctor told me I'll be much prettier using a much less conditioning [oily] soap.
The soap is vegan but I tweeked it a little when I made it and it just makes wonderful lather that lasts and lasts.
Hot face towel prep. I really need to get off my butt earlier in the evening and take time with my straight.

Soap: Shaver Heaven Peppermint Plus
After: Alum, Nivea sensitive balm

Third shave in, can really hear when the razor is cutting whiskers. Makes finding that angle really simple with the audible feedback.
Wish my beard grew fast enough to shave morning and night at the moment...
Small nick on the upper lip, all sorted with the styptic pencil. Minor sting from the alum. Felt good!
3 pass shave tonight WTG, XTG, XTG. Very enjoyable shave, and far more comfortable post shave tonight.
Still a happy camper! [emoji2]

Mastro Livi "Rasoio Italiano" Stainless Damascus, 8/8 Full Hollow, Spanish Point​

It was quite a long time I was not using this Mastro Livi stainless steel Damascus. It has a very special blade because it is made of genuine artisan made stainless steel Damascus, entirely made by Mastro Livi in his laboratory. He used martensitic stainless steels only, therefore this Damascus can be tempered and used for making a cutting edge. And what a cutting edge, I would add! It gives a smooth and close shave with a somewhat aggressive touch, however very comfortable. Scales are very particular, too. It has a double Italian flag - made of jade, white turquoise and coral - with a middle plate made of fossil mammoth ivory. That's why this razor is called "Rasoio Italiano" (Italian Razor) because it is entirely made in Italy, including the martensitic stainless steel Damascus!​

This blade REALLY is good - and what a better combination than with the vintage Yardley (thanks for the inspiration @unobtainium81) and my Herbal Cologne Lotion (thanks to @borked)

The Herbal (see below) is interesting and had a short production run - but I kinda like it in a cool, hip '70s way. What a fantastic way to start the working week - go wqell guys!
