It's funny how this shaving caper works, but over time your technique subconsciously improves. You'll find that razors that you previously felt were too efficient or harsh on the face, after leaving a few months and then returning to use, will feel a lot different. Some razors also will click much better with a different blade. This all means that you don't ditch a razor too quickly (if it's one that you like the feel or looks of but it "doesn't work"), as after a break it may very well work beautifully for you the next time around.
