Hello All.
I began wet shaving about 4 years ago just to try something different. I started out with merkur 33c and a very scritchy tweezerman brush. Since then I've navigated my way through some new and vintage razors including the usual, slim, fatboy, superspeed as well as barbasol floating head and non floating and newer razors AS-D2, R89, Stealth Slant plus a few more. It seems ridiculous when you write them all down. I had a slim, fatboy and executive replated and they look great but don't see a lot of use. Having tried a number of razors I tend to find myself coming back to the 33c, it just works well for me.
I moved on quickly enough from the scritchy tweezerman to a shavemac 177 and have now settled into a chubby 2 and rover as my go to brushes.
Currently I'm using T&H 1805 cream and mdc fougere of which I enjoy both. I have small collection of shave sticks which I like to go through for something different. The Wilkinson sword stick is one that I recommend.
I look forward to learning and participating on this board.
Cheers
Dougie

Hello @dougie and welcome - seems like you've been bitten hard by RAD (Razor Acquisition Disorder). You've listed a good number of different razors. [emoji106] Isn't it interesting how you've gone back to the 33C? I've not really gone back to my original razors but settled on French DE's that I enjoy a lot.

Have you tried many artisan-made soaps and aftershaves? Even here in Australia we have a few locally made soaps that are some of the best in the world.

Welcome mate. Nice selection of kit as others have mentioned. You will fit in well here !

Thank you for the welcome gents.
@filobiblic i haven't tried many of the artisan products. I'd be interested in hearing some of the recommended locally made products.
The most highly regarded of the local artisans is definitely Shaver Heaven. The soaps that @Anthony makes are absolutely world class.

There are a couple of others that have recently been getting good reviews.

Washpool Farms makes soaps in a couple of different formulas
and Whispers from the Woods also make a nice soap in a variety of different scents

You can also keep an eye on the BST section as there are often quality artisan soaps available at great prices

Welcome to P&C @dougie - great line up and I am sure you will have a great time here (y)

Welcome on board! Nice kit! 1805 is one of my favourites (the Mrs like it as well which is a bonus!)
