Set the bevel with a Shapton Glass 2k, and then created a medium density slurry. Worked down to near water before cleaning razor and stone and beginning again with lather. Lots of laps until the entire edge felt icy smooth. First shave with the old rattler in the morning!

Reset the bevel on a Glass 2k, and then on to the suita: tomo → asano → mikawa. Lovely session!

First real outing with this Umegahata kiita: diamond slurry → botan → mejiro → koma. Not sure how this will shave as I have not encountered a stone like it so far. HHT was fine, but I'm interested in how it shaves...
Another session with the Umegahata. Seeing what this stone can do. Yesterday's edge was stellar, we'll see if it is (easily) reproducible on a different razor...
Touchup on Ozuku asagai: botan → mejiro → koma → mikawa.
President is relocating south to a new home, so gave her a final hone before packing her off to the new owner. Diamond slurry on Suita Nashiji Nakayama Awasedo down to water, and then finishing laps on plain water. HHT was silent root in and out. Hope he gets a great shave from her!
After getting a nice edge off that suita, I tried another. Asano progression this time.
