Set the bevel with a Shapton Glass 2k, and then created a medium density slurry. Worked down to near water before cleaning razor and stone and beginning again with lather. Lots of laps until the entire edge felt icy smooth. First shave with the old rattler in the morning!

Reset the bevel on a Glass 2k, and then on to the suita: tomo → asano → mikawa. Lovely session!

First real outing with this Umegahata kiita: diamond slurry → botan → mejiro → koma. Not sure how this will shave as I have not encountered a stone like it so far. HHT was fine, but I'm interested in how it shaves...
