I can't believe I've gone for more than a year without any of this. Most improvident. Kindly supplied by NOAH (formerly Mensbiz). This is my benchmark for a perfectly pure, bright, natural lavender essential oil scent, and a really fine base. Quite expensive, but it lasts a long time.

My first purchase of 2026, La Faulx ("The Scythe") ++ Sablé SS arrived in just 22 days. For a workshop with products in the same price bracket as Wolfman, that's an amazing turnaround. I ordered this as head-only since I plan to use it with my Vestige handle. It makes it just a little head-heavy, but hopefully that won't be a problem. I'll find out tomorrow... 🤞

Mail call from @TroyTools this morning. :woot: :woot: Introducing The Real Simpson Chubby, posted on Thursday and obviously hurtled through the air to get here by now.

I made an experimental lather with it just now, and the ends of a few bristles are already beginning to split, so the breaking-in should be quick.
The handle colour does suit your sexy lavender vibe 🫣

Of course, this came from Cary Grant, here known as @Ozwhisker of Artisan Arcade. (Unashamed plug for a good guy :P)

I've had a bit of a spell away from the Bergamot Lavender soap, of which I have used quite a few (very full) tubs over the last few years. Nice to renew the acquaintance. (y) I find the B/L witch hazel scent a bit on the strong side, but (wonders never cease!) Mme Gargravarr seems to like it. For myself, I might try diluting it with a bit of my regular witch hazel. A win for both of us, for a change...
