7 day set info ?

Hi guys,
Found a 7 day set while antiquing the other day. Seems in pretty good condition all things considered. Any info would be greatly appreciated from the brains-trust.

Every gentleman of (even modest) means should have a matching seven-day set of straight razors.

I have had up to five matching seven-day sets. I put them all together myself, not buying readymade. I designed their cases and had a local cabinetmaker make them for me. A local engraver then hand-engraved the spines with the days of the week.

Here is the first set I put together. This set was engraved in Latin.

If you need a reason to own a M7DS, just ask.

My second set, engraved in English. I still have and shave regularly with this set.

My third set was engraved in Japanese. Not easy for my engraver as he was not fluent in Japanese. This set was given to my brother in Japan.

One of the challenges of using a M7DS is getting and keeping all the edges in the set up to near the same shave quality. That teaches you a lot about honing and blade maintenance.

There is always one blade that is better than the rest and the better blade changes as you work on them.
