A Great Few Days.

What a great few days I've had, receiving my aristocrat and then my adjustable slim within a few days of each other. I have to say, the slim looks and feels like one serious piece of shaving kit.
So my arsenal is now:
  1. Merkur 34C
  2. 1949 Gillette Aristocrat Jnr.
  3. 1964 Gillette Adjustable Slim

Nice to witness your first tentative steps to genuine wet-shaving....just another half-dozen and you'll be a proper shaver mate.

I haven't tried the Jnr yet but the slim is one fantastic razor to use. Yesterday I started on 1 for the first pass, them 3 for the second and that was great. Today I tried 5 for both passes and it was perfect. I'm in love. Of course the blade helped...Gillette black.

The Slim is a great razor !

Wait until you try 7 for the first, 5 the second and 3 to clean up.
Higher the number = more aggressive ;)

I would do the opposite if I had a few days growth 4/5 for the first pass, then up to 7/8 for the 2nd

As long as the SE is left out of it ;)

Still haven't tried a slim. Put a low bid in for the pair of them on eBay but not expecting to win.

Oh mate, best of luck.
