First, I've ran this up the appropriate flagpole and it was tentatively saluted, pending that what I shared in private is shared here too/ am open and honest about it.

I designed a label for the Stirling Soaps competition.
It has made the top four and they are asking people to vote for their favourite.

My Cousin though, is the one that materialised my vision and idea into reality (which entailed me standing over her shoulder being a pesky "client" requesting changes be make, then back to how she originally did it to satisfy my curiosities).

I've designed it, so the colours can be easily changed to reflect the scent of the product, yet still enable an easy to read design for a 2.5 inch label (as was specified, just as the company name, the product and the company logo - the tree, are all included)

If I do win, I've humbly requested for the right to relinquish my prize and in lieu, they award a contract to my Cousin, who happens to be at Uni studying Graphic Design, so having commercially contracted work would do no end of help for her confidence and her professional aspirations.

So I would like to ask members here to help me out here by voting for 3 and liking any post others have voted for 3.
If so inclined, a description in the voting post on Farcebook wouldn't go astray, yet naturally I respect that all of this is voluntary.

Thank you :)

Would love to but hate facebook more. It is actually in my view the most workable and better looking design there. Seems like you'll have a lot of competition from No 4 who's design looks like a cheap wedding invitation (how are those stupid banners going to work on a 2.5 inch diameter label?) but more importantly is very good at getting friends to vote. If the incredibly important end design is chosen based on a head count of someone's facebook friends then Mr Stirling soap deserves everything he gets.

Wow. No time to vote as they've called it already! Seems like they chose #4 - not sure how the voting went...

The designer of no 4 got his horde of facebook friends to vote. The whole process was a complete load of crap if you ask me.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of FB. Too easy to swing votes like this. Best on a shaving forum or like where those who'll actually buy your product will comment.

Irrelevant of the results, I do thank everyone that has voted and offered feedback.
I appreciate it guys, I really do :)

…sorry I couldn't help mate. Don't do 'facebook' - and the way this competition was won epitomises why! Yours was far and away more deserving an entry.

It's a pity you couldn't help your cousin with a possible leg up in to graphic design. But the client would have been hard to deal with as he obviously hasn't got a clue.

@stillshunter funny, neither do I have facebook.
I expressed concern to Rod and Mandy, who are the owners of Stirling Soap Company and Rod appears to appreciate my concerns, yet pointed out a few things that I had not considered.
There was no limitation upon promotion for votes and in doing so, it enabled a greater cross section of promotion for their company.
Indeed, Rod admitted to knowing the winner had promoted via Reddit, something I was not aware of either, so respect is due for his upfront honesty and frankness in the matter.
To be fair, it is something that if in their shoes I would hope to achieve too via a promotion.

I do also have to disclose now that it is formally agreed upon, that Rod asked for a few changes to the original design after submission to reduce the cost of the labels.

That is the design with the changes they sought.
@Pjotr you will also be glad to hear that they've offered to purchase this via the means of a gift card with a reasonable amount for the design and will be offering it as an alternative design to the winner.
To have the design purchased, is something that I hope will enable my Cousin gain a leg up in seeking an Internship and ultimately employment and is a great honour for the both of us :)
It is beyond my wildest dreams and something that I am honoured to be a part of, and indeed something that I'm simply not used to.

I once again thank everyone here for your kind words, concern and support.

I've a feeling I will have a few soaps to try soon and advise fellow members of :)
