I take it you now know why I've suggested trying ARKO!!!
It's scent really is polarising, even I admit there are times it alienates me, yet others where there are subtle nuances that pop their head up for consideration which totally changes the scent profile.
Whatever folks say regarding scent, it performs and one of the things I really cut my teeth with and build up confidence that I could actually build a lather.
Unable to say the same for Col Conk and to a lesser extent, Crabtree & Evelyn.
