I struggled with the nanny's silly soaps when I first started shaving.
I almost wish I'd kept one of them now so I could see how much of my problems were just bad technique.
I'm imaging it would be most of them!

I struggled with the softness of her Original range when I tried them a couple of years ago. Hoping her Signature and new Traditional range are more user friendly.

Nice haul @Nightguard. Interested to hear your thoughts on the Russian Leather.

Haven't tried it yet but the scent is a dead ringer for Imperial Leather soap. As it's designed to be.

Wow... Blackship aftershave is awesome, great scent strength. Will see if it lasts.

Lavanille is a must for anyone that likes a leathery vanilla scent.

Baudelaire I'll write a review on. I put on some splash to see how it settles on my skin, and keep getting a whiff. Impressed.

The B&M aftershave splashes are the best. They feel so wonderful on the face and their scent is complex and lasts.

8/10 strength with the Baudelaire up to 8.5 or 9. Musk is there, but blends with the leathery scent so it doesn't stand out to me (don't have an educated nose though).

I should say the scent longevity was around 3 hrs today, but I've been running around at a park after kids so would have shortened it.

If anyone has any night music they want to sell though

Well I scored a small Boar Brush the other day real cheap and was wondering what I would end up with on receiving it. I was surprised as described it does have a solid brass handle and appeared to have been used very little. Whether it is a one off not sure but possible may well have been turned by someone and the Boar added as choice I am not sure. It has no marking but shows enough to believe it is old. I had got it to a point yesterday where I had cleaned and polished it noting to clean the boar hairs thoroughly and did give a go this morning for my SOTD (Modial Mandarine Soap / Feather AS D1 / Vodskhod Blade). I then today had a further go at it and this is the before and after now having finished where I think it is looking good.
I used my Semogue 1250 as a comparison in size
The actual size is as follows: Head to Toe 96mm - Head 50mm - Boar 46mm - Knot Base 8.2mm

It's certainly unique! Looks great once you shined it up.

If anything, that increases longevity, as your perspiration brings it back to the surface and hydrates it again.

Stopped by my work this afternoon to pick up this little beauty that I missed on Friday. I chose this one because I like face lathering and I've heard the 620 is a good brush for that.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it improves with use and seeing what this whole boar brush thing is about!

Ben, that 620 is a great brush. Had mine now for about 2 months, well broken in and a lather monster. Nice one.

Not for my skin mate... The heat will bring out the scent a bit, however due to oily skin the perspiration washes away the scent very fast after that.

Thanks! That's what I've heard. I kind of like the idea that you need to go through a bit of discomfort to "earn" the lovely softness.
We'll see how that works out though....

The good thing about being away for a couple of days - parcels on your return

First is not shave related - a second hand Canon 600d body, my daughter in Sydney is using my camera for work as her's is not good enough...



Second is shave related, the PCTB3a has returned! Thanks for all who participated, trust you enjoyed it



Third is also shave related - thanks to @Sxot for a couple of SH scents to try. I'm reserving judgement until lathered!



I believe there is another parcel for me at home, so maybe MORE to come
