Gillette Rocket, made in England, lovely shaver. Either -
'LD' or 'Paperclip' - 23g ish
'MD' - 52g ish
'HD' - 73g ish

The latter most common and a great razor - enjoy!

Will do mate, it needs a good clean and service. The turn knob is a bit tight and one of the gates doesn't open up all the way. Is the rocket similar to the super speed?

That is pretty common with these too.

It has a bigger diameter handle that the 'normal' Rockets or Super Speeds. It was the next model up effectively, between the basic Super Speeds (Rockets) and the Aristocrats.

Yes without a doubt! With a good soak in warm water & detergent with a toothbrush she'll look great.

If it doesn't open all the way then one of the guards are likely bent in. When you open the tto look at the end of the head as you do and you'll see the door kicker/tab hitting the guard earlier than the other one.

Or if more a 'lazy door', ie it can be pushed open with your finger but not when the knob is twisted, it is probably 'gunk' in the internals - common with these too

Long long overdue purchase given all the praise for APR on here. The whiskey is the first thing that hits me in terms of the scent - it's very masculine (if there's such a a thing as a male scent, this is it) and quite different from anything else I've tried. I shall post my full thoughts tomorrow. :)
