Chinese adjustable

Will have to check out how I've been (infrequently) using it while I was on holiday later. I've noticed it gives a lot more feedback noise than the Fatboy / Slim combo.
That would be because there were two blades stuck together! I was lucky to get away with that I guess.
 
You must have good technique, I get cut just looking at a razor sometime.
I shave in the shower with no mirror, so I guess I have to be a bit more careful than otherwise.
 
I would assume the tolerances are not as tight as more expensive razors.
I've never held or shaved with a Merkur Futur so not comparing them. The Chinese clone holds the blade both by projection up from the base & pointy bits down from the cap. It's not sloppy. Could be by faithfully retro engineering the original design (now long out of copyright protection) these clones will hold up. Biggest issue I have is the smooth slippery handle that I assume is a problem with the Merkur made. Time to mod an improved grip or keep the shave towel handy to avoid dropping.
