Ok, so the little one got into some of my brushes and played with them. My wife put him in the bathroom and he basically used them to mop the floors

He picked up the paladin and my original M&F . My too favourite brushes.

I used one of my spare pucks and lathered heavily and washed but need more for my peace of mind. How do I clean and disinfect them?

I used antibacterial liquid bath hand soap to kill any bacteria leftover in the knot follow by with shampoo and conditioner

NEVER used bleach cleaner this may kill the badger hair

I give the brush ten minutes in barbicide (soak up to just below handle), rinse well, ten minutes in vinegar, rinse well then lather it as normal on a shaving soap, rinse and you're good to go. Is good for getting crap out of the brush (built up soap scum) and disinfection. Make sure you rinse well after barbicide as that is not good on skin. I've only used this on badger and also boar brushes. The barbicide did not discolour or have any other apparent ill effect on the brushes. I'm assuming it would also be OK for synthetic brushes but haven't tried it.
