Smoked pineapple from the C42B11Y02 series

When countless eyes turn toward you despite the fact that nothing about your appearance particularly stands out — neither your clothes nor anything else — when women’s smiling glances emerge from the most unexpected places, and the cherry on top comes when a little boy of about seven or eight tells his mother, “That gentleman smells wonderful!”, then you inevitably pause for a moment and ask yourself: “Good Lord… what is happening?” The answer arrives the instant you remember that you applied Aventus.

After experiencing all of this, an obvious question naturally arises: what exactly makes it so highly regarded? Compared to many other olfactory creations, Aventus becomes a dependable companion thanks to its pleasant scent profile combined with remarkably solid performance. And there is something more: most people are not particularly passionate about perfumery, preferring fragrances that are easy to understand and immediately appealing. Almost everyone can appreciate the olfactory signature of Aventus.

Released from the atomizer, the conqueror emerges and captivates the senses with a citrus accord that is slightly sharp yet invigorating. For the first several seconds, the primary culprits are bergamot accompanied by apple. The initial burst gradually softens as the pineapple forcefully enters the stage. Yet before the opening phase completely fades, there is a brief transition. During this intermediary moment, the pineapple feels as though it has been sliced with a sharp, icy blade, releasing a cool and refreshing aroma. Before long, it becomes sweeter, juicier, fleshier, almost succulent. This marks the departure from the citrus realm. The cold–warm contrast created in this progression provides a deeply pleasurable sensation. At this point, the fragrance’s masculinity begins to emerge. The entire composition becomes enveloped in a smoky veil. Superb ! The smoky note never turns heavy or oppressive in the manner of Bois d’Ascèse. Many hours after application, the composition settles into a delicate musk intertwined with grey-green oakmoss carrying whispers of the forest.

Overall, this is an exceptionally well-constructed fragrance: airy, refined, and effortlessly wearable for a man. Balance is the word that best characterizes this particular batch, according to the code mentioned at the beginning.

For those wishing to step outside the comfort zone of aquatic or purely citrus fragrances, Aventus serves as a gateway into other territories of perfumery. The pineapple, oakmoss, and smoky accord are rendered with remarkable fidelity. The pineapple lures you toward fruity compositions, its sweetness paving the road toward gourmand territory. Meanwhile, the oakmoss and smoky nuances guide your steps toward the mysterious world of woody fragrances. For men eager to venture into the domain of niche perfumery, Aventus represents a bridge toward olfactory development. One begins to appreciate how closely the ingredients resemble their real-life counterparts. Over time, this sharpens one’s understanding of more complex fragrances or those with a stronger artistic spirit. Once you have built a proper fragrance wardrobe, Aventus becomes your trusted knight — versatile enough to rescue you from virtually any predicament whenever you must choose a perfume.

The beauty of Aventus makes it a worthy successor to the emperor Green Irish Tweed upon the throne of the Creed dynasty.

@Raul S an excellent review of a “scent” I’ve heard of many times before, it’s real masculine and I know it’s my daughter’s favourite. I’ve not really been into EDT / EDP (except for the white bottle Kourus) as for longevity, I prefer Perfume Oils, but after reading this 🤔
Cheers mate

Great review. The only issue I have with Aventus is that, working in IT, there was a period around a decade ago where just about every IT executive down here was (over) spraying it; so going to a conference, supplier briefing or any event where there would be more than three or four of these people in a room was nauseating. As you can probably tell, I haven't properly recovered since... :p
