DOTD! What are y'all drinking on today.

My DOTD or rather DOTN, in recognition of the fact that my preference for big smoky Islay malts is not supported by my Morris Minor budget on an everyday basis, is Peat's Beast.

A mystery distillery, a very young whisky, but lots of character, lots of peat and a surprisingly long finish. A great decanter-filler, and I'll probably be using it for the hipflask too.

You've got my attention. Where is it stocked? Dan Murphy has it listed as out of stock.

just picked up a Redbreat Lustau. Change Over time insert laugh.
What do you think? I'm not very impressed with it. Not sure if its an Irish whisky thing as I've not been overly keen on any I have tried (although mostly at the bargain bucket end of the spectrum), or something else.

I think somebody here talked this up, my first Irish and a nice addition to the top shelf...

got me a carton of super dry before tonight's lockdown.. nice day for it (y)
You didn’t stock up on toilet papers before tonight lockdown, don’t worry about it, I know you’ve heaps grass in your backyard without any issues.

This is a new one for me:

Highland Park 10yo Viking Scars. In my search for budget Islay malts (ha!) this one comes fairly close. (Not Islay in this case, obviously.) Quite a refined finish, with enough peat to make it interesting and at a good price, $71 at Dan's for members. I'm going to have to go back for more tomorrow, as I've had probably more than is really good for me already... :hungover:

Not in a good place, so lots of whatever is at hand.
