Feather AS-D1 & AS-D2

I've owned a Feather AS-D2 for some time and recently purchased the AS-D1. When I study the razors side by side I cannot identify any differences in the head and from what I can see there are no identifying markings. I do not dissamble both at the same time for fear of mixing parts. There is obviously some differences in the head otherwise why would Feather release a D2. Does any one know what the differences are.
