2018 Sabbatical
Every now and again we all find a new product (well new to us at least) that we use for the first time that just blows us out of the water. A product that honestly peforms better then expected or leaves u feeling genuinly excited and wanting to wake up as early as possible so you can hurry up & shave again with it ASAP.

i know everyones probably tried it, even started with it or even not liked it but i used proraso green soap the first time sunday and it took my shave to another level. if i could shave twice a day i would and id use this. loving it and its never leaving my weekly rotation.

what products have done this for you lately?
 
For me, it's usually a new straight razor or brush that has me wanting to shave again. As the # of shaves goes up in my wet shaving careerer the excitement of new products is reduced unfortunately. It has been a while since I truly got excited enough to want to shave twice in the one day.

thats a shame :( but im sure something will come along soon that will bring that back
 
as boring as it sounds finding gsb blades did it for me. they made shaving a much smoother and pleasant experience meaning i could shave twice a day if i so wished. having tried a few more new blades since finding them none have come close yet. got 100 nacet blades arriving in the mail tomorrow though so you never know.

@Benjamin I think it time for you to get a Semogue SOC boar brush in Ash Wood and you should at least give the Cherry Wood some rest, and you will like the Semogue 2000 25/58mm please trust me ;)(y)

Last item to genuinely blow me away was @Anthony and his Vanilla Oak soap or was that @shavetheman and his After Balm ?
Both equally great!
Strong suspicions that @todras and his products will be next on the list, unless beaten to the gates by a new brush from @Tony Forsyth !

as soon as i finished my 5 sample pack of Feather stainless blades i went and bought the 200 pack from mens biz

@todras APR do have some excellent excellent gear im loving my splash at this very moment im just using it sparingly because i dont want to run out.
and that after balm from @shavetheman is just a no brainer best balm out there if im completely honest with you kids.

to just use crushed up menthol crystals mixed with a few drops of aqua velva to form a thick paste, then hold it there using a bandaid..soothing
