OK, so there was a famous thread on another shaving forum that was THE go to place to ID Gillette Rockets.

I went there recently though and the photos were all gone

I rate my Rocket MD as one of my favourites amongst the razors I own. At least I believe it's a MD as it come in at 58 grams as they all look very similar.

Yes, they are very similar and at that weight likely to be the 'MD'

I did read that the MD was 57 grams, mine came in at 58 on a set of probably not quite so accurate kitchen scales. As the HD and LD are no where near 58 grams, it would have to be a MD.

The 40's superspeed would of made starting off in DE easier. Almost impossible to cause damage with that and still an efficient daily shaver.

Any claimed weight should really be +/- 1 gram at least
